United Staff of Columbia College (USofCC) represents full-time and part-time staff members at Columbia College Chicago. USofCC works for fairness, dignity and respect for staff.
USofCC was organized by a group of dedicated, passionate staff members after the Columbia College Board of Trustees decided to reduce employee retirement benefits in 2003 without any staff input. Because we wanted to be included in decisions that affect us, we organized to have our collective voices heard.
Our mission is to support the vision and mission of Columbia College Chicago, while creating a democratic member organization of staff, to advance education in Illinois and to promote the welfare of non-management college personnel.
USofCC is an affiliate of the Illinois Education Association – National Education Association (IEA-NEA). We participate in Region 67 with other units that represent staff and faculty in higher education.
