USofCC came back with a proposal to the College’s counter regarding sick time. The College will discuss privately and then come back with a response.

Bargaining Update from 8/19

This week, USofCC presented a preliminary counter to the College’s salary increase and health care premium freeze proposal, which added a salary and hourly minimum. USofCC also submitted a new counter to the USofCC-Board of Trustee relations article, which has been through ongoing negotiations. USofCC also presented a new proposal regarding Flexible Work arrangements.

Bargaining Update from 8/26

  • USofCC presented proposals in the following areas: Article II – Management Rights, Article IV.G – Orientation Materials, Article IV.H – Bargaining Unit List, Article IV.L – Release Time, Article IV.M – Job Descriptions. and Article IV.N – Search Committees. The College agreed to move forward with a TA on three of them (Orientation Materials, Search Committees, and Bargaining Unit List) pending small adjustments to language. The College needs time to review and discuss the others.
  • The College was accepting of the salary and hourly floor that USofCC proposed, but did not agree to our yearly wage increase.
  • The College proposed small adjustments for new hires and layoffs regarding health care start/end dates.
  • The College proposed additional language to our Flexible Work Arrangements proposal.
  • The College refused our counterproposal regarding paid vacation time, but as a response added language to the original article.

Additionally, the College signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with USofCC regarding Union representation on the stakeholder council overseeing the implementation of the Ellucian system.
