Volunteer union members began bargaining for a new contract May 20th, 2024.
The decisions made about proposals and strategies happen in our Bargaining Committee. If you have any thoughts, questions, or opinions you want to express, any unit member is always welcome to join. Reach out to our Negotiation Chair, Allison Geller, or our Membership Chair, Matt Rillie, to join!

What happened this week:

  • The union presented a proposed addition to Article IV: College-UsofCC Relationship regarding the Board of Trustees (BoT) and UsofCC relationship, outline different ways in which to give feedback and gain information from the BoT. Administration tentatively agreed to aspects of this proposal, but we are awaiting an official response.
  • We are still awaiting a response from the College regarding our Severance/Layoff Proposal.

This week, our bargaining session will be held on Thursday July 25th at 10am on Zoom (info below). Please support the union by observing our bargaining sessions. Bargaining is more effective when management sees that membership is invested in our proposals.
